According to the study «Reading, Writing, and Consumption of New Digital Formats in Spain,» conducted by Ipsos for Amazon in 2025, almost half of Spaniards report writing regularly. Their main motivations include personal expression (55%) and entertainment (45%).
Furthermore, 61% of those surveyed believe that self-publishing tools have democratized access to literary publication, consolidating a model that is allowing more authors to develop an independent professional career.
