The Advertising Academy begins a process to appoint a new governing board
The electoral process will take place at the next Extraordinary General Assembly of the Advertising Academy, scheduled for April 16.
After four years at the helm of the Advertising Academy, Agustín Elbaile, the current president of this institution, has decided not to seek re-election. Therefore, a process to appoint a new leadership team has officially begun.
The election, in which all members of the Advertising Academy will be eligible to vote, will take place at the institution’s next Extraordinary General Assembly, scheduled for April 16th in the auditorium of the Communication and Arts Campus at Nebrija University in Madrid.
All members of the Advertising Academy who meet the relevant statutory requirements may submit their candidacy for president and for the board of directors.
Over the past four years, Agustín Elbaile and his current board have implemented a comprehensive program of activities focused on promoting and teaching advertising, with the ultimate goal of enhancing professional knowledge.
Agustín Elbaile will not seek re-election as president.
In the area of outreach, Elbaile and his team created the Academy Library, which already has six titles published and distributed to all members of the Advertising Academy.
During Elbaile’s term, the Advertising Academy’s own media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, podcast, and website) were also revitalized, along with an exclusive newsletter for members and successive membership recruitment campaigns in media such as television, radio, and outdoor advertising.
Regarding education, the Advertising Academy has developed the Julián Bravo Excellence Scholarship program, which is jointly managed with Nebrija University for its students through the Open Classroom for Innovation and Creativity. The mission of these scholarships also extends to collaborative research and study projects on topics of interest to the advertising industry.
“We are satisfied with the work done, with initiatives that will continue, such as the Scholarships and the Library, and with having dignified our profession in every possible way. Now we need new energy, new ideas, to enhance the work done and make this house, for everyone who loves advertising, even greater…our Academy,” emphasizes Agustín Elbaile, outgoing president of the Advertising Academy.
